HELENE DiPONZIO

EDDIE SOKOLOWSKI

.... is truly an Entertainer Extraordinaire!  Her vocal prowess boasts power and range, effortless harmony, and entrancing interpretation. Eryn is the consummate professional, perfectly at ease in all musical settings. A dynamic performer with a genuine love of singing, decades onstage have imbued her with the unique ability to sing most music genres fluently. Eryn’s style of singing is one in which joy, expression, vulnerability, and fun all go hand in hand. No one is safe from a quick witted quip or a teasing scold – not the audience, the band members, or Eryn herself.

....is the epitome of a Rock & Roll Queen! Her raw, powerhouse vocals are tempered by an exuberant and disarming onstage persona that leaves the crowds howling for more. Helene’s performing acumen is a stunning tribute to the rock icons of yesteryear. Having gotten her start in a show band in her teens, she has been a highly-respected and visible member of the Boston music scene for many years. She fronted such bands as “The Reign”, “The Knuckleheads”, and most recently the very popular “Mercy”. Don’t let the tough, rock chick exterior fool you – Helene has a heart of gold!

… is an unrivaled singing drummer! Known for effortlessly blending rock, soul, and blues rhythms with distinctive vocals, the core of Eddie's artistry has always been his commitment to "playing what's right for the song". Heavily influenced by John Bonham, Phil Collins, and Steve Gadd, his ability to hold a complex beat while delivering flawless lead or backing vocals reveals this Dorchester native as a force to be reckoned with. Eddie has delivered unparalleled performance excellence for 50+ years.

PEDRO VERDUGO

…lives for music! From the time his parents gave him his first guitar in 1976, through his education at Berklee High School of Music (yes - High School), he has never put his guitar down. Except to buy more guitars…and more guitars...and more pedals….and more pedals. He is devoted to all aspects of music, attending concerts and music venues regularly, he is a dictionary of facts on innumerable music artists and their performances. An unflappable optimist, and truly supportive of everyone he encounters, you will never see him without a smile and will never hear a discouraging word fall from his lips.

…boasts an unmatched exuberance for performing! Audiences revel in the enthusiasm he radiates with every chord played on his Hammond B3 - the king of classic keyboards. His exhilarating performance acumen is matched only by his dedication to contributing to Mercy's advancement. Early in his career, he was a member of "The Irresponsibles", voted the best unsigned band in the country by Musician Magazine. Like all of Mercy's members, he has played with countless bands in countless venues of all shapes and sizes over a career spanning…how many decades?

…is an extraordinarily skilled player who describes himself as "your friendly neighborhood bassist". Humble to the core, he has been the backbone of many bands, including: Groove Alliance, The Standard, DB3, and Sugarfoot & The Brass Kickin' Horns. He is a Berklee College of Music alumnus and in the former manager of a high-end cheese shop. Pedro can be found on a stage pretty much anytime and anywhere on the Northern seaboard and beyond. When he's not, he's building basses and dreaming of re-visiting the other side of the dateline.
